This Strawberry Shortcake Has Me Singing Praises! I Never Knew It Was So Easy.
Strawberry shortcake is a real crowd pleaser. Who doesn’t enjoy the moist and creamy soft strawberry textures and taste? Thanks to swankyrecipes I don’t have to go to a bakery to get a slice of my favorite cake; I can make some right at home. This is such a yummy treat!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 + 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 egg
- 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 16 ounces Whipped cream topping
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 quarts fresh or frozen strawberries, sliced
