Our precious furbabies can’t tell you when their paws need attention. But give him a “pawdicure” with this homemade paw balm and his tootsies will stay moist and supple.
Can you imagine how rough and dry your feet would be if you had to go barefoot all the time? Or when it’s really hot outside or super cold. I know how my skin feels during these tough seasons and I get to wear shoes and socks. Our beautiful fur babies don’t have that option. They have to be barefoot all of the time, no matter the weather. That’s why it’s so important to take a look at your pup’s feet and see if he is in need of a little TLC.
Thankfully, the folks at Team Take Hold is bringing us a great recipe for a paw balm that will moisturize and protect your dog’s paws. It’s so easy and simple and I doubt your pup will mind a little foot massage while you’re rubbing it in. So go ahead and whip some up and keep it on hand for whenever their feet are in need of a little extra attention. I’m thinking of making a big batch and sharing it will all of my pup’s friends too.
You only need 4 ingredients to make this Homemade Paw Balm:
- 2 T. olive oil
- 2 T. coconut oil
- 1.5 T shea butter
- 2 T. beeswax (small pellets work best for melting and measuring)
