When Easter rolls around, I always look forward to one thing and that’s a chocolate Reese’s peanut butter egg. I grew up with them in my Easter basket and I still love them today. Now, with this simple recipe, I can make them on my own at home!
Whenever I think about the Easter holiday, one of the first things I think about is candy. From chocolate bunnies to peeps and everything in between, the candy basket is definitely an Easter tradition. One of my all-time favorite Easter treats has to be a Reese’s chocolate peanut butter egg. I love a normal Reese’s cup but there’s something about the egg shape that puts this candy over the edge. And maybe the limited edition nature of the candy makes me crave it even more.
Now, we don’t have to worry about missing out on these delicious treats all year and we can also be confident in the ingredients going into the candy. Thanks to Vera at omgchocolatedesserts, we now have a recipe for these tasty nuggets. I’m pretty sure that this is going to be a hit at any Easter party or dinner this year. Better make sure to carry that recipe around, because I have a feeling a lot of people are going to be asking about it!
Here’s your ingredient list for Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg:
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- ¼ cup butter-melted
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
