Is there a Coke fan living in your house? Bake them a “Coke and a smile” with this time-honored Coca Cola Cake and frosting recipe.
The first references to Coca Cola cakes date back to the 50’s, but the jury is out on exactly where the recipe originated. Some say the company developed it. Some say a home cook invented it. In any case, it’s become a Southern favorite, earning its biggest fame from versions baked at Jestine’s in Charleston and from Cracker Barrel.
Averie Cooks is bringing us her easy recipe that incorporates Coke into both the cake batter and the frosting. We can just imagine how rich and moist this cake is. Her tutorial includes an easy-to-follow video, showing you all the steps. If you make one, can we come visit?
