An Adult Milkshake Made Out Of Pie Ingredients Is Our New Favorite Indulgence!
What’s better than just pie? Coconut Key Lime Pie Boozy Milkshakes are two kinds of pie and a cocktail and a milkshake in one!
Ok ya’ll. Who has discovered pie in a milkshake? I first happened upon this delightful concoction several years ago while watching The Food Network and I wanted to jump straight into the TV. A pie shop in Austin was making apple pie into milkshakes and the lines were out the door, so I knew they were on to something. I set straight to work making my own versions. I made apple using my favorite Apple Ginger Crumble Pie and when the holidays hit, I put this technique to work with leftover Pumpkin Pie and Cheesecake Bars. All three were simply delish and it’s a great way to make the most out of leftovers. Simply pop them in the freezer and they are ready for your milkshake whenever the urge hits!
I recently went looking for a new variation on the pie milkshake and could hardly contain my excitement when I came upon this recipe. It’s not exactly a pie mixed with ice cream, but it has all the flavors of coconut cream pie and key lime pie…taken up an adult notch with the addition of several types of spirits…and mixed with ice cream. Holy cow, can you believe that? We are forever grateful to Cheyanne at No Spoon Necessary for enriching our summer celebrations with this tempting treat.
